Moran State Park on Orcas Island, Washington, encompasses over 5,000 acres of forest with some 30 miles of hiking trails. It is the largest public recreation area in the San Juan Islands.Atop the 2,409-foot-high Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands. A stone observation tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade Mountains and a variety of Canadian and American cities.

Turtleback Mountain Preserve is 1576 acres with 7 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. A protected natural area, it is held in trust by the San Juan County Land Bank.

Over the past 17 years, I have made a body of suspended and freestanding kinetic sculpture, much of it designed to respond to the exterior natural environment of wind and light.

The Lambiel Museum houses "the most extensive private collection of the finest, original artwork by the San Juan Islands' best artists from 1915 to the present." These include pieces by Helen A. Loggie. Open by appointment only to the public daily for guided tours for groups of two to twelve.

Stepping into the Moran Mansion at Rosario is stepping back in time. Built between 1906-1909 by Seattle Shipbuilder and Mayor Robert Moran, the mansion features original photographs from the late 1800's and early 1900's, original furnishings and fixtures, and an extensive display of the ships built by the Moran Brothers Company in Seattle. Open to the public for a self-guided tour from 9 am - 9 pm daily.

The Orcas Center serves as a Community Theatre, an art gallery, a center for youth programs, a musical center, a meeting place, a facility for receptions, dinners, dances, and fundraising events, a school stage and public meetings.
